My unfortunately large list of WiP fannish fic, in order from most to least recent:
1) The One Where Faith & John Shoot At Stuff Together: Someone pointed out a while ago that Faith plus anyone equals hot. I think perhaps Faith+Rodney=not so much with the hot and more with the "totally unable to stand each other", but Faith+Ronon seems like total hott (two 't's, even), and Faith+John Sheppard seems like the kind of dangerous that is really exceptionally awesome fun. So far, Faith's made it to Atlantis, and is currently faced with a lot of P-90s.
2) The AU where Rodney and John are both on
2) She Leaves With The Morning: I tried to get River, Dawn and Tonks into the same room. This proved exhausting and indulgent, as crossovers often are. I tapped out after one chapter, although I'm pretty proud of both Anya and Dawn.
3) The One Where River Seeds Dune With The Legend of Muad'Dib (and invents stillsuits, while she's at it). Crossovers are evil, I tell you. I'd forgotten this one. It's still kind of a good idea. I might finish it. But probably not.
4) The Mal/Simon crack!fic where a laundry incident forces Simon to wear his Alliance uniform for hours.
5) The one about why Sirius is a dog animagus, inspired by Cesar's Way (oh just shoot me now).
6) The post-war Harry/Hermione where Hermione's vulnerable and Harry's EVOL. Sample:
“I slept with George,” Hermione told Harry, in a tiny voice under her breath. Harry was looking out the window. “After the attack. After they killed Shacklebolt. I went to find him and I slept with him. I didn’t think it would help. I wasn’t trying to woo him back over to the Order.” It had been easy to find him—the other Order members weren’t looking, didn’t have the heart for it—and when she slid onto the barstool next to him, he was the same George, mischievous leer intact. It was mischief bloody well managed, that’s why he did it, fraternizing with the enemy under everyone’s noses. Hermione came twice and hid it both times.
She’d had to work up to telling Harry that one. There were easier confessions to get out first: not letting Hedwig fly at night; breaking the Creeveys’ cameras; drugging Remus to keep him from going to find Fenrir, even though Minerva had told him to. Good intentions and moral reasoning, at least, drove those. Sleeping with George was far murkier.
But it wasn’t the worst one.
7) Ear To The Keyhole I hadn't considered Kaylee/Jayne until I read Belasera's fabulous fic, Slim As Dimes. Then I couldn't stop thinking about it. Not, apparently, enough to finish the story.
I wish I could say that energized me enough to want to write fic. It didn't. It energized me enough to want chocolate, desperately,

I wrote it, and then I didn't have the heart to finish it.
But maybe this weekend. After I gird my loins.
