Apropos of nothing fannish --

The Barenaked Ladies closed the AIDS 2006 benefit concert last night with "If I had a million dollars." When they got to "we could put a little tiny fridge up there somewhere," Ed said:

"But no liquids!"

Steven: "Right!"

"Safety for air travel should be safety in the home!"

"And you've got kids!"

"Yeah, I don't trust them. Not with liquid"

"You know, I'm two-thirds liquid."

Oi.

I love the Ladies.

They're so friendly too, y'know? I appreciate that they've never lost that "kids from Scarborough" quality. They're just folks. And they're awesome.
