It occurred to me last night that Firefox would probably handle iMeem better than IE did, and maybe there was a world of vids I was missing out on.

OMG THERE IS.

(Also, Fox hasn't gotten to iMeem yet, so the SGA pretty is abundant. *gibbers with joy*)

I am so in awe of the talent I see wielded on iMeem. Such artfulness! Such craft! Such wit! (Am bookmarking madly, so check my del.icio.us account if you want to see what I've found.)

Please, o flist, rec me stuff! And while you're at it, does anyone know if the "White & Geeky" McKay vid which had been on YouTube is hosted elsewhere? I think the creator's name was wiccanslyr.

(Also, where can I watch [livejournal.com profile] killabeez's "Closer"? I'll go unleash the power of Google, but this is so the faster way to find it.)

In this one, totally out-lier case, Google won. Tsk. I found "Closer" here on YouTube, although I will be delighted to replace that link with something that benefits Killa, and not the person who uploaded her work under their account without her permission, if such a site exists and someone can point me to it.

I hope you don't mind me dropping in, but I found your post linked off [livejournal.com profile] veni_vidi_vids.

I managed to get a copy of White and Geeky from here. It may not still be available, but at least it's a place to start.

I also made a playlist of the SGA vids I enjoyed at Imeem, but they seem to have changed it so that you can only watch them properly if you log in. If you're interested anyway it's here.

Hope that helps and you find lots of new SGA vids to enjoy.

Hey, thanks!

I'm bemused that my post o'squee got tagged as "meta" on [livejournal.com profile] veni_vidi_vids, but I do not begrudge anything that links me to more stuff. And that's an excellent playlist. I'd seen four of the six, but "Code Monkey" and "The Love Theme" are new to me, and I am now waiting eagerly to watch them.

Have you seen Lim's (http://sublim.imeem.com) SGA vids? I particularly recommend "I Am/Lamb," a John Sheppard vid set to Johnny Cash's "Mercy Seat." It's just... I have no words to properly do it justice. Poignant, aching, stoic, stylish, about what Atlantis means to him and what life on Earth was like before, about what he's leaving and what he thinks he deserves -- shipless as well, in case any of the possibilities squick you. :-) She's very talented... and she's using a better film editor than what many other people have at their disposal, so her work feels more connected and less "these are the bits I downloaded from YouTube and spliced together to Kiss."

I hadn't actually seen that Lim vid, so thank you very much - very well made and thoughtful. I must go looking for the latest SGA vids on Imeem - I haven't had the chance to check it recently.

*slaps forehead*

Have now scrolled down, and see that there are 18 vids in your playlist, not six.

What a feast! Thanks!
