Dudes, I am writing this wearing an undershirt, a long-sleeved t, two sweaters, long johns, jeans, two pairs of socks, a blanket and a hat.

In my LIVING ROOM.

But I am not complaining! even though I can't type all that fast since my fingers are freezing. NO. NOT COMPLAINING. Not complaining because I like this whole "having power again" thing. A water main up the street burst last night, flooding a transformer, and it's been twenty-four hours since there was an internet in my life.

Or, y'know, heat.

I like them both! I am glad they are back!

... I would also like it if I didn't have to put on mittens while reading fic.

Oh, Jiminy Cricket, that is not good!! I'm glad power is back! And hope things continue to warm up pronto!

Thank you! The house is mostly liveable this morning. Mostly.

Wait a minute, do you also live in the Bloorcourt village?

Weird. Anyways, our street is flooded with ice, too, but at least now there are streetlights so we can see most of it. I'm totally huddling under six blankets with a hot water bottle and wearing layers, even though the heat is back on. Our house is not nearly warm enough yet.

Indeedy, I do! I can see the mall from my house. *says in a Tina Fey voice*

My house is still pretty chilly this morning, too.

How 'bout this power-outage-in-the-winter thing never happens again? Yes?

You live near the Dufferin Mall! I live pretty close to the Hasty Mart that became the 23/7 or whatever it is now. (Actually, the new one has all old, expired stuff. It's gross.)

Yeah, next time we have a power outage, can it be in fall or spring or even summer? Or not at all?

I vote for "not until I have a coleman stove, some stored potable water, and a bunch of nutribars".

Although "not at all" would be totally ok with me, too. :-)
