Aug. 5th, 2009 06:47 pmSeriously, the things people ask for at the kink memes are making me go all like this: O__o . I had to finally unsubscribe the SPN kink meme "prompts filled" account from my Delicious network, because I couldn't handle it. And now the Trek RPF meme has started to be unbearable! I mean, I guess I was kind of okay with the stuff asked for at the SPN kink meme, since it was mostly perverted people wanting to do perverted things to fictional characters. (I am right there behind that, shorin' up the perversion.) But when people are dragging Chris Pine's dad into the kink suggestions? Just, no. NO. STOPPIT PLEASE. (Trust me, that is as much of a hint as you want to get.)
(This is not to suggest that the mods aren't doing an excellent job. The point of the memes is that anything goes, and I support that purpose. But I'd still like some brain bleach, kthnx.)
---
Today I checked my messages as I was leaving work, and there were a series of desperate texts from my housemates saying "Rachel, the internets, we don't have them! PLEASE TO BE FIXING!", and I thought, whoops. Apparently trying to download all of S2 of True Blood does a good job of overloading our network. (I didn't tell them that the broken-ness was my fault; I just fixed it.)
(Also, as I walked home, I kept thinking about that guy who got fined $650K for illegal downloading, and worrying I was going to come home to THE NET COPS. I then amused myself by imagining them as disapproving rabbits.)
