The (male) celebrity sex meme!
Eh. I'm in a lemming kind of mood. )

In sum, Joss Whedon knows what I like, and possibly I should get him to screen my possible boyfriends for me. In, you know, his copious free time.

Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] franticsga.. a DOIN' IT meme

1. Bold the names of people you'd definitely shag.
2. Italicize the names of people you might shag after a little persuasion.
3. Leave the people who don't do anything for you alone.
4. Put a question mark after the people you've never heard of ?
5. Strike the people you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.
6. ADD FOUR OF YOUR OWN AT THE END.
7. Underline the people whom you would rather see having sex with another person.

Which Torchwood Character Are You?
Your Result: Gwen Cooper

You most resemble the team's second-in-command and ex-police officer. Empathetic and stubborn, you tend to grab the bull by its horns and have difficulty admitting when you're wrong, though you always mean well. You are inconsistent in your relationships, wanting stability but also craving drama, and sometimes end up putting yourself first.

Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] human_loser, the TV shows meme!

- Bold all of the following TV shows of which you've seen 3 or more episodes.
- Italicize a show if you're positive you've seen every episode.
- Asterisk if you have at least one full season on tape or DVD
- If you want, add up to 3 additional shows (keep the list in alphabetical order).

I interrupt my ranting about FanLib to tell you that [livejournal.com profile] rue_du_hoquet is hosting a Rodney McKay Snaps Cup meme, similar to the totally awesome John Sheppard That Thing We Don't talk or Hug About meme that [livejournal.com profile] melagen hosted a couple months ago.

So. Please go tell me how, despite my total greed for fanfic (particularly the kind starring people-turned-into-kittens, or chickens named Baby Jesus, or including the X-made-them-do-it trope), and that I haven't posted actual fic in ... um. Too long to mention - that I'm still a decent human being. Maybe. Although I should've finished my math degree instead of switching over to English/Drama.

In return, I will tell you why you are worth the good coffee. :-)

Your Score: Guinness

(66% dark & bitter, 100% working class, 66% genuine)

Okay, we all know Guinness is the best possible score on any "What Kind Of Beer Are You" test, so you can just go on and pat yourself on the back now. Like the world's most famous brew, you're genuine, you've got good taste, and you're sophisticated. What else can I say, except congratulations?

If your friends didn't score the same way, get ready for them to say: Guinness is too heavy; it's an acquired taste; it's too serious--and they probably think those things about you at times. But just brush 'em off. Everybody knows Guinness is the best. Cheers.

What Flavour Are You? I taste like Bread.I taste like Bread.

I am a staple in almost everyone's diet. Friends like me are a complement to any other friends I get on with almost everyone, remaining mostly in the background, but providing substance when it would otherwise be lacking. What Flavour Are You?

Well.

It is way past time for me to take up cliff-diving, obviously.

The Firefly meme what everyone seems to be doing:

Number of times you’ve seen the whole series (to your best estimate)
I've watched it straight through three times. My disjointed comfort-viewings might make up another one or two, except that I avoid watching The Train Job as much as possible.

Number of times you’ve seen the movie
Five or six. Or more. Not sure. Three times in the theatre, upteem sampling at home.

Favorite character (and why, if you want)
Mal & Kaylee vie for top spot in my heart, and neither keeps it for longer than a day.

Least favorite character (and why, if you want)
I'm least attached to Inara, of the main 9. She never surprised or endeared me -- except maybe when she gave up the froufrou in the movie.

Favorite episode (and why, if you want)
Out of Gas. It's so elegantly plotted.

Least favorite episode (and why, if you want)
The Train Job. And it's no one's fault but the network's.

Favorite quote
From the series: "I'll be in my bunk."

From the movie: "They'll be back 'fore you can spit. (beat) Not that you... spit."
Second favourite quote (from the outtakes): "TRAAAAAP."

Favorite scene
The one in "Out of Gas" where we meet Kaylee.

Your opinion of the movie: love it, shove it, or mixed feelings
So. Much. Love.

Favorite canon pairing
Zoe/Wash, followed closely by Mal/Serenity

Favorite non-canon pairing
Mal/River

In brief, what got you hooked?
The girl in the box. And the dinosaurs. To be truthful, I was ready to love it as soon as I heard "Joss Whedon! Space cowboys!"

Your favorite theory on Book’s background
Retired operative who suffered a head injury.

Your favorite theory on Inara’s reasons for leaving Sihnon
Politics in the ranks. Inara was better than her teachers, they made life hard, she ended up leaving.

Will Mal and Inara ever get together?
Not in canon, since it's dead in the water. And not often in fanon, since none of us seem to care that much about the pairing. If it was real? Probably, although it wouldn't last.

Will Simon and Kaylee stay together?
Eugh. Yes. Damn it.

Will River stay (or get) on the road to mental health?
She's on it. She'll stay on it.

Favorite Firefly fanfic
Belasera's incandescent Jayne/Kaylee fic, Slim as Dimes. I was skeptical about the pairing, but it has UST like you wouldn't believe. And hurt/comfort!

Is Firefly your main fandom now?
No

What are your top 2 other fandoms?
I'm not active in anything right now, although I read a lot of SG:A, Buffy and Harry Potter.

The results are fitting, but I'm amused that I scored as Kaylee and Mal too. Three of them! In one body! I'm AWESOME.

Also, Simon/Mal/Kaylee is a pairing I've never read. Anyone?

Dudes, I went to see Casino Royale tonight and I be officially _blown away_.

The movie's really good, and ridiculously chock-full of death-defying action... but the thing all you ladies with an interest in the mens and all you mens with an interest in the mens need to know is that the new Bond is unbe-fucking-lievably hunktastic.

God. Swim trunks.... guh.

Double guh.

(This Bond is also brutal and foolhardy and prone to throwing himself in traffic and I am disturbed that I am so hot under the collar, but ohmigod the swim trunks.)
