So, I love ThinkGeek, but every time I think about buying something, I get to the checkout and realize that my 15 buck tee (or my USB fridge for a single pop) will cost me 20 in shipping costs, and I sigh, and close the browser.

THEREFORE, I am very happy to point you all over to DealExtreme! DUDE. Earphones for less than $3! Neoprene laptop cases for less than $5! Extremely adorable pig LED mini-flashlights for 90 cents!

And all of it gets shipped to you for free... FROM HONG KONG.

Okay, they don't have ThinkGeek's awesome tees, but my not-so-inner geek is satisfied by their stock.

Okay, so pictures of the Obamas being mobbed by children will never not be awesome.

I should be writing an essay, but instead I'm listening to this totally wonderful and heartwarming podcast appreciation of Mister Rogers, and his neighbourhood. [Link goes to BoingBoing, because linking directly to the podcast makes it start playing, and you might not want that.]

Highlights: Mister Rogers testifying at a Senate hearing (or something?) about the importance of public television funding in making children feel cared for and happy. He recites one of his songs about how to handle being mad, and single-handedly charms the hardhearted budget committee into upping the public television budget from 9 mill to 22 million dollars.

Mister Rogers: Just So Awesome.
