Dudes, I'm so frustrated with Google that I could cry.

Google notified me that my site (personal website, not this one) had been infected with malware. It listed the infected pages. I removed them. I downloaded the verification code that I need to upload to my server so that Google believes that I, indeed, own the site. But now I can't upload anything, since when I try to access my CPanel, the screen flashes a warning that my website is a suspected attack site. When I hit "ignore this warning," it loads an incomplete version of the page it's supposed to load. If I hit refresh, I get the "this may be an attack site!" page again. What to do?

ETA: I may, or may not, have fixed the problem. Still don't know how the malware was installed. Goddamn.

I had a malware problem on a site that i built in iWeb - it was infecting some javascript aspect of the site. I never did figure out how. I never successfully resolved it with Google - ultimately my hosting company (dreamhost) deleted the entire site because they said *I* uploaded malware.

Sigh. More than one person had access to my FTP password, and I suspect that someone's email got hacked? Or that there is some kind of iWeb-based weakness that was being exploited.

I only barely hacked the site together using iWeb, so not an expert.
