I emailed Avos to demand fixes, but I'm not confident anything will change. (You too can email Avos! complaints@avos.com)

Instead, I'm moving over to Pinboard. I'm merrily over there - please add me! I shall add you back! Or just tell me if you've got a Pinboard account, please.

Is there any way for me to browse other people's Pinboard networks?

(Man, I wish that the OTW could've bought Delicious, instead. Too late now, I guess.)

Here via latest, and when I imported to Pinboard back in December, they specifically said that they were "antisocial."

Bookmarking had started to feel a little bit like publication. This made me hesitant about filling my account with bookmarks that were not of general interest, even when I needed to keep them around for my own use. For example, in the course of writing a long article about the Space Shuttle, I ended up bookmarking over a hundred items in the space of a few days, all on that topic, and by the end of the process I felt myself wincing with each bookmark, conscious that I had lavishly spammed my friends' bookmark streams with endless NASA articles and powerpoint decks.

... One of my favorite places to work is the reading room of a large municipal library. It's a kind of half-private space where you have access to endless books, a desk with a little green-shaded lamp, and someone stern to shush people when they get too chatty. Working quietly with others is not forbidden, but you don't go there to socialize. You have room to spread out your materials and you can dive deep into the things that interest you. And you're surrounded by other people doing the same thing.

His viewpoint and my viewpoint are about as opposite as possible. >_>

So for me, at least, they're not a Delicious replacement. I have been backing up to them frequently, so I don't appear to have lost much data, thank god, but.
