merrilyGAWD. Nothing's satisfying me today -- not food, not fanfic, not the ridiculously pile of books I'm supposed to make a dent in sometime in the next seven days, not writing.
There are many WiPs in my folder, right now, and today I kept starting them and then stopping in dismay after getting two sentences out. I'm trying to do a Firefly/SGA cross-over (because I looked again at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
crysothemis's drawing of John in a bathrobe and thought "OMG, Geisha!John !" and then "OMG! John/Mal!" and then there were plot-bunnies everywhere); I'm trying to do a Carter/McKay/Sheppard, since I think jealousy+UST=simmering mixture of hotness that must be resolved with excellent sex; and I'm trying to write a sequel to A Choice of Several Deaths because Ethan Rayne=awesome, which I knew, but knowing something and then writing the awesomeness and getting totally addicted are two different things.
And since none of that was working, I sat down to attempt watching Cube, but I couldn't. As much as I live for ensemble pieces with excellent dialogue... well, someone got cut in pieces in the first two minutes, and DHew's character has a concussion & thus is kind of loopy and out of it, and really, it didn't look like there was going to be much in it for me.
It's massively egomaniacal of me, but sometimes I get impatient with the work my favourite actors have done, and I want to write better roles for them, with stuff to fuckin' do.
