Sunday morning round-up
Nov. 9th, 2008 08:28 amIt occurred to me that maybe I should be a little more fandom-active, instead of a huge, Muppetesque mouth that consumes and consumes. (Fanwork! Nom nom nom.)
In that spirit, here's what I've been looking at this week. I think I'll make this post a regular Sunday morning thing.
(It's mostly bookmarks from my various Delicious accounts. If you haven't tried it already, the network feature on Delicious is fantastic.)
A YouTube vid of a heart made from gears. V. steampunk.
The 40 Greatest Uses of the Super Mario Bros. Theme Song. I like the one with the theremin.
Why Obama Is Like Worf. Courtesy of webcomic Hijinks Ensue
black_eyedgirl: Experience Was Not My Only Teacher
A beautiful Sam Seaborn character piece, from before the West Wing all the way to Seaborn for America. Keen and lovely.
amidalashari: Losing My Religion
The Ten Commandments, as observed (or ignored) by West Wing Staffers. Gen.
angali_organna: Point, Counterpoint; or, Galactica Encounters of the West Wing Kind
A BSG/West Wing crossover (BSG: S1) where Adama & Roslin find Earth... and Bartlet is currently President. Josh ends up playing basketball with Starbuck. Made of win!
newredshoes: And Honey In The Carcass
I'm a sucker for "It's An Apocalypse!" stories. This was from
apocalyptothon, with a swarm of Africanized bees, and lots of banter. It's hard to believe such a perfect thing was written. (No one gets stung, btw.) Gen.
Jane St. Clair: The Thinner The Skin
Awesome wee piece where Josh snuggles into Sam's couch, recovering post-Noel, and thinks affectionately about Sam. Josh/Sam, PG-13.
