There is A WHOLE LOT this week, guys. (This is me copying & pasting my delicious bookmarks, so if I'm already in your delicious network, you've already seen these links.)

(Standard PSA: In case you're new to my lj, I make these posts every Sunday. They're all tagged, for your convenience.)

Links To Random Stuff
Vid: David Sedaris on Letterman, talking about fashion accessory disasters he's had. NSFW.

Vid: Robert Burden's Voltron. Some guy spends a year painting a huge-ass picture of Voltron, and films it in sped-up stop-action so we can watch the painting progress. Neat.

Vid: A Heart Made of Gears. There should be more steampunk objets in my life.

The Sentient!Atlantis Fanfics Blog: Remember that fic with the sentient table? Someone loved it so much that they created an aggregate where they provide links to every single story anyone ever writes where Atlantis is sentient. Internets, you are awesome.

In Defense of Piracy, an article about copyright over at the Wall Street Journal.

On a similar vein, Cory Doctorow (I heart Cory Doctorow!) wrote an article called Why I Copyfight. (His book Little Brother -- about a kid who, in the wake of a terrorist attack, gets tortured by Homeland Security and decides to fight back -- is really really good. I highly recommend.)

A Butler Well Served By This Election, an article in the Washington Post about the life and times of Eugene Allen, White House Butler for many presidents, and often the only black person on staff.

A website with scans of front pages of newspapers around the world on Nov. 5. My favourite headline is "In Our Lifetime." (Yes we can.)

Prop 8 Protest Signs -- Funny because they're true.

Webisodes of the entire Web 2.0 summit.

Crossovers
[livejournal.com profile] basingstoke's Paparazzo is a fantastic Spiderman/Ironman crossover, where Peter meets Tony on a dangerous day. NC-17. (And Peter/Tony, if I didn't make that clear.)

[livejournal.com profile] sahiya wrote this absolutely fantastic Harry Potter/House crossover, where Remus meets James Wilson in a bar the afternoon before the full moon: A Craving For Kindness. Lupin/Wilson, NC-17, with bonus jealous!House.

[livejournal.com profile] tzzzz managed this impressive Sarah Connor Chronicles/SGA crossover where Rodney may or may not be the guy who creates SkyNet, and John is a terminator. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY ENOUGH. Mona Lisa Box (NC-17, McKay/Sheppard; bonus glimpses of John Connor, Cameron & Sarah; srsly angsty, but if you're a fan of [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan's robot!John, or the spinoffs, you'll love this. You'll love it even if you haven't read those stories. It's that good.)

"Misc" in this reclist means... an Anne of Green Gables fanfic! NO RLY. Still He Offers The Sea Shell by [livejournal.com profile] with_a_kay shouldn't really work -- a modern-day reimagining of Anne & Gilbert, where they meet at university? Pff. BUT IT DOES WORK. AND IT'S AWESOME.

Ironman
Days Like These, by [livejournal.com profile] abvj, is a lovely Tony/Pepper bantery-bit, Pepper POV.

[livejournal.com profile] nekare's Grease-stained is a lovely unwinding of Tony & Pepper's relationship, and how much he needs her, and what he gets (and doesn't). I heart Tony/Pepper. They're the new Josh/Donna.

Ten Nonlinear Moves by [livejournal.com profile] sequitur is a great story about what Tony's like as a boss.

SGA
Over at [livejournal.com profile] artword (which is srsly awesome), a whole bunch of people wrote and illustrated a story called Doggedly, wherein John turns into a weredog. But not the bitey kind. Delicious crack, covered in crack!icing.

[livejournal.com profile] artword participants also made Only Can Give (What You Have), where Rodney & John are locked into a wee little cell, and John's afraid he'll tell Rodney things he doesn't want to.

[livejournal.com profile] chrysothemis has a great new first-time, with bonus! obliviousness story: Last Resort (McKay/Sheppard)

[livejournal.com profile] eleveninches wrote this great thing about the perils of time-travel: Reinventing The Wheel, where Rodney & John accidentally prevent the Wraith from being created, and then have to fix their bumble.

[livejournal.com profile] lamardeuse wrote an excellent earthside!au called Depth of Field, where Rodney is an NYC photographer and John helps run a drop-in centre for underprivileged youth. FTW!

Leah (one half of [livejournal.com profile] leahwoof) posted a bloody excellent fic called Down To The Bones. John gets fed on by a wraith. Rodney has to find a way to fix it.

Chandri MacLeod wrote Now The People Will Know We Were Here. Awesome sprawling hybrid of first-time!romance and earthside!action, where Team goes to the Olympics, and Rodney & John fall in luff. Also features the Swedish Women's Hockey Team.

[livejournal.com profile] sardonicsmiley has never let me down. Her new fic, Me For You is a fantastic story about sexuality and desire. AU, earthside, John sees a poster in a bookstore called "Cunts for Fags," and ends up in a seminar for gay men about female-to-male transsexuals... taught by Rodney McKay, formerly Meredith. NC-17, made of tremendous amounts of win.

SPN
Under This Midwest Sky by [livejournal.com profile] rememberbefore is SPN:RPS, J2, where they're cowboys. PG-13, and the adorableness. (This isn't even my fandom!)
