It may carry me through tomorrow. I work at a mall that is having its grand opening tomorrow. I just heard I may have to wait two hours to get into THE EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT. To start work at 9am. I am so glad my store will be almost empty, because I'll have no patience left by the beginning of my shift.
The traffic problems were apparently overhyped because the traffic wasn't bad when I went in, around 8:30. I think they were under target, numbers-wise. Still lots of people, but I had no thoughts of death directed at anyone, except the regional manager of my store, who thought he'd come in to breathe down the store manager's neck and also try to coach me in things I already know. Like how to greet people. I have already worked in their stores for a couple weeks and sold items myself; I think the basics are well in hand by now. :/
