I can't decide if that video's like, "OMG CREEPY WEIRD KINK LET'S STARE AT IT WHO EVEN GETS THOSE GUYS", which I don't like, or "Look at this interesting visual thing which we thought would look cool in our video!" which it does, but it seems kind of divorced from the actual kink practices/community, while being used for visual effect in a video about (apparently) vanilla het romance? With, like, explicit distate about the weirdness of these naked people being furniture? Which I am not keen on either. But it does look good in the video. Also, lead singer looks like Nick Frost.

I don't really get what's wtf about human furniture, btw - surely it's a variation on a submission kink? Like, being treated as an object, ignored, used. It's pretty hot.

Well, that's the thing! I too think that would be a great story, where John becomes a lamp and is just really happy and fulfilled that he's finally found what he truly wants to do with his life - be a lamp - in fact, man, I'd like to write that story. And I love the idea that the vid is *actually* about a guy who lives in this bdsm relationship with like ten guys whose dom he is, and then he meets a cool dominatrix, and after some initial problems at negotiation, she moves in and also dominates the guys he has around the place being furniture! And then, like, his distaste in the vid becomes part of this game he plays with them. But I'm not sure that's what the video is.

Hahaha, yes. I wonder, actually, if you would only be furniture at certain times of the day, and whether, like, you would have to put all the coffee table books on the floor while you went to work, and then come home and resume your position and the coffee table books.
