This morning, I made this cake from Smitten Kitchen, and oh flist, it is excellent.

Roommate J: (moaning) Oh man, this CAKE.
Me: I know, right?
Roommate J: How is it so good?
Me: I think it's the spices, plus using mostly applesauce instead of but-
Roommate J: It's so good that I think you should hide it.
Me: ... From who?
Roommate J: From us.
