Things that are not fair
Feb. 5th, 2012 10:50 pmI've been hitting the gym religiously for the last two months. It's been a good distraction from all the terrible things that 2011 brought to the party, and also the bit where I'm having an early-30s life crisis.
I've lost about 15 lbs, and my muscle tone has improved dramatically.
However.
It turns out that when you are genetically coded for generous, R. Crumb-esque thighs, neither a running or weightlifting practice will do much to reduce them. No, instead they are turning into equally-diametred muscle.
On one hand, yay, less jiggle. On the other hand, I would like to find some pants that fit, goddamnit.
I'm basically resigned to spending a good chunk of my disposable income on tailoring from here on in.
