Nonono! It was an awesome TV show. (By awesome I mean I haven't seen it in twenty years, and I liked it when I was seven.) I think maybe it was to promote the candy? Except I'm fairly sure the candy has been around for far longer.

In any case, the Gummi Bears were bears with special "gummi juice" ('i's, you notice, not 'y's). They lived in a secret dwelling in a forest, and they had this underground tunnel system that led them throughout the land (on train-like thingys). When they drank the secret gummi juice, they gained super bouncing powers for a short period of time, which allowed them to escape from their enemies.

Um. Now that I spell it out like that, I'm _really_ not going to go looking for the eps.

Also, the parallels with SG:A are kind of remarkable.
