I'm reposting because, would you look at that number? Sixty plus people, whose lives are improved - or saved! - because
setissma's aunt's family honoured her wish to be an organ donor.
I was kind of shocked, myself. I signed my organ donor card long ago, and talked to my family about it, but I had no idea that the small act of deciding to be a donor could, potentially, help so many others.
Sixty plus people! Good lord!
If you haven't signed a donor card already - or talked to your family about your wants - please consider it.

On the (small) bright side, my aunt's heart went to a 28 year old who would have died without it, and that surgery was a success. Her other organs, tissues, etc. will help 60+ other people. It's obviously not as good as having her around, but it's been a huge consolation to know that one of the worst days of our lives was a fresh start for someone else.
