Dear people with iPhones,

Bell, via my uni bookstore, is offering me an iPhone 4 16GB for $49. This is, of course, a stupendous deal.

Or is it?

Is 16GB enough? Will I regret being stuck with a 16GB phone for 3 years?

Someone advise me, pls.

16GB is a fine idea as long as you don't have a pile of music and don't want to put video on it.

No, you definitely won't regret it, unless you really need loads of space for music/videos. 16GB is more than enough for a lot of apps and plenty of MP3s.

I've got an 8GB (albeit Android) and am fine. I keep a minimum of music on here, and a decent amount of ebooks.

I have an icon just for times like this

I have an 8GB iPhone. I've got 96 apps (plus the ones that come with iOS), a novel & someone's double length big bang in iBooks (a whopping 0.01GB) 150-odd photos, about 45 minutes worth of video I've taken, a half dozen podcast episodes (about an hour each) and 30+ hours of music, and I still have 1.75 GB of free space.

I think that unless you feel like you need to have days and days worth of music and a lot of video with you at all times, you'll be in fine shape with 16GB.
