synedochic has written a fantastic SG1 story called The Only Winning Move, in which all of Cheyenne Mountain participates in a yearly game that's a simulation of a base emergency.

It is very fun. Teal'c eats pie. Sam writes statistics software to see which department loses most frequently. There is surreptitious betting. Jack is Bad Ass. (He'd so win at laser tag, too.)
