merrilyI subscribe to 28 blogs via Google Reader, a list which generates about one hundred posts a day. When I don't have time, I'll star the things that I want to come back to, and then I'll go through them on Sunday and figure out what to share with you.
Which is all by way of saying, er. Holy mama, I have a lot of stuff today. Which is why the Sunday Links & Recs post is actually two posts: Links, and Recs.
I don't want to bury this in the cut text, so please pass on that there's a $750 grant available for SFF writers over 50, from the Speculative Literature Foundation. If you know someone who qualifies, tell 'em about it.

When I go off the grid, I'm totally getting one of these laundry pods which let you easily wash small loads.
I can't decide if I'm amazed or worried about the Nano (aka the $2000 car made in India). [BoingBoing]
There's a graphic novel bio of Sarah Palin. I'm not tempted to order stock for my bookstore. But I am tempted to call up the publisher and ask for an advance copy.
I adore this typeface made from stacked books.
If I had a toddler, I would buy these blocks.
