You've probably seen this already, but I'm posting anyway!

(If you can't see embeds, the vid is Bill Shatner reading Sarah Palin's farewell speech on Conan O'Brien)

You've probably also seen a crowd at the Antwerp train station performing a song from The Sound of Music, but isn't a rainy Sunday the perfect time to watch it again?

John Green, adorable YA author, is interested in how people become real. So he pulled this crowd-accomplished prank:

(See vid here on YouTube if the embed's not working. Also, I highly recommend subscribing to the Vlog Bros, of which John is one half. You will enjoy their videos.)

The Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl was, when I was a kid, one of my absolutely favourite books. I love it even more now that I know that the audio recording of it which I owned as a child (yes, I had the book, too) was actually the voice of ROALD DAHL HIMSELF! Which is why it took me a really long time to watch the trailer for the film. I was really worried, you guys!

BUT APPARENTLY THERE WAS NO NEED FOR WORRY. THIS LOOKS MADE OF AWESOME.

(Watch on YouTube here if the embed isn't working.)

My landlady might not be terribly enthusiastic about this, but I'd really like to build a geodesic dome solar greenhouse in my backyard. Looks possible!

Ever had your bike stolen? Here's the story of how one girl got hers back!

Remember that wedding entrance to Chris Brown's Forever? The record label who owns the song did something surprisingly smart and non-douchey, in a way that will make them a crapload of money. I am impressed![BoingBoing - the wedding vid's embedded in the article if you want to see it]

Interview with the guy who wrote the book about the ethics of robots who kill. Asimov is somewhere saying "I told you so." [BoingBoing]

It turns out that wind turbines are killing bats! Fortunately, someone came up with a solution... at least, kind of. [EcoGeek]

On the ever-growing list of things you can do with stem cells is embed them in suturing thread so that stitches heal faster. Isn't that brilliant? Some biomedical engineering students at Johns Hopkins came up with the idea, and I bet it will lead to similar uses (skin grafts - better with added stem cells, y/y?).

I wish this was my hairdresser.

John Sellers, longtime friend of John Hodgman, wrote a column about 7 Roles John Hodgman Would Have Dominated. Role 7: The Professor from Gilligan's Island. (So true!)

New Obama birth certificate uncovered! (Don't worry.)

The NES business card case is neat!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST - my tumblr subscriptions to Trek-related silliness have been TOTALLY AMAZING lately! They yield stuff like this (read the caption), this (and relatedly, this), and this.

AND IN CONCLUSION:

Happy Sunday, everyone! Get through your weeks okay!

Whoooo, Antwerp represent! I was actually in that station the same day, but missed this by an hour or so. :(

The RPatz video is awesome.

Air balloons are pretty.

And I too am craving that scarf!

All the ST/ZQ-related tumblers are a great source of joy!

TOTAL SUCKAGE!

(I love that train station, though. It's one of my favorite places in Antwerp and I can't resist snapping a pic or two when I'm there. Theser are from today: 1 2.)
