Push the Drama Button! PUSH IT.
May. 3rd, 2010 05:36 pmDiana Gabaldon is mad as hell about fan-fic (her hyphen, not mine) and isn't going to take it anymore.
Which is lovely, because Fandom_Wank has covered it, and the resulting comments are the best thing I've read in weeks.
I don't necessarily recommend reading Gabaldon's blog entry, and I certainly don't recommend replying to her, but I absolutely suggest you go over to Fandom_Wank, preferably with a bowl of popcorn.
The Drama Button. Push iiiiiiit.

Date: 2010-05-05 02:55 am (UTC)And jeez, ew. I've never actually read the Outlander books, and the "innards felt like churned butter" line makes me never want to.

Date: 2010-05-05 03:09 am (UTC)I do not read people who make comments about fanfiction. There are too many books out there for me to purposely support jackasses. Thanks for the heads up!

Date: 2010-05-05 04:22 am (UTC)Plus, there are books written by people who also write fanfic, and by buying those books, I'm making sure that there's MOAR FANFIC FOR EVERYONE in our future.
I'm canny that way.
